Traveling HVAC Installer

Tryst Hotels is building a hospitality brand where design, comfort, and community all matter. With boutique hotel projects in high-profile LGBT destinations, Tryst needs skilled field professionals who can travel, adapt, and help deliver comfortable, high-performing spaces that support a premium guest experience. 

This traveling HVAC installer role supports hotel renovation and improvement projects across Tryst locations in the U.S. You will install, modify, and troubleshoot HVAC components in boutique hospitality settings where performance, timing, and coordination with other trades are essential. The right candidate is experienced, flexible, and comfortable with travel-based work in inclusive hotel and nightlife environments. HVAC was specifically added as one of the six roles to post nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Install HVAC equipment, ductwork components, registers, controls, and related systems
• Support replacement and retrofit work in guest rooms and common areas
• Troubleshoot installation issues and verify operational performance
• Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, drywall, and carpentry teams
• Read plans, layouts, and equipment specifications
• Maintain safe practices and proper handling of tools and materials
• Assist with punch-list items and final system checks
• Help keep projects on track under shifting schedules and deadlines

Qualifications

• HVAC installation experience in commercial, hospitality, or residential settings
• Working knowledge of systems, airflow basics, and equipment installation practices
• Ability to travel for extended project rotations
• Comfortable with changing shifts and nontraditional hours
• Professional demeanor and full comfort working in LGBTQ+ centered spaces
• Ability to work independently and as part of a field team
• EPA certification or similar credentials preferred where relevant
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and jobsite awareness

Pay and Benefits

• Pay: $30-$45/hour, depending on experience.
• Full-time W-2 position. Year-round pay structure, including paid travel rotations, company-arranged flights and hotels, paid meals while traveling,
